Ductless Air Conditioning Solutions To Choose For Commercial Purposes

A ductless air conditioning system offers the combined comfort of a window AC and a central air system. It comes equipped with an indoor evaporator or fan unit and an outdoor compressor. In this system, a small conduit is attached for transmitting cool and hot air between the two parts. Also known as the split AC, ductless air conditioners are most preferred nowadays. It is cost-effective as well as easy to install. However, there are certain things related to its size, installation process and power that have to be considered before you buy one for your office.

Check the BTUs (British Thermal Units): While choosing a ductless air conditioning solution for commercial purposes, you need to pay attention to its size. A small unit has to run more in order to keep a big room cool, whereas an oversized unit cycles on and off too quickly without dehumidifying the air. Both these units may not survive long because of the extra load they have to bear. Therefore, it’s better to select the one that is most suitable for your office space. For this, you need to take a look at the BTU requirement. The range of BTU indicates the ton capacity of the unit, which in turn, points towards its suitability for a particular space.

See how many rooms a unit can cool: A unit equipped with single outdoor compressor has the ability to cool up to 4 rooms at a time with the help of 4 fans. Hence if you need to use one unit for more than one room, select a compressor which can be attached to the rooms of your choice for cooling.

Consider the seasonal energy efficiency rating (SEER): Higher SEER ratings reflect higher efficiency of the unit. By buying a unit with higher SEER ratings for your office, you can expect to reduce your utility bills to a great extent. Look for a suitable type of installation option: Some ductless air conditioners require their compressor to be mounted on the roof and some on the ground level. In order to decide which is more suitable for your purpose, you need to take into consideration the total space that is available for use.

Decide whether you want the dual units: Some ductless systems come fitted with dual units including air conditioner and heat pump. You can use them in winters for heating effect and in summers, for cooling effect. These are expensive, but can save energy more efficiently than any portable heating or central heating solutions.
